Strengthening Families Protective Factors

As children (and all individuals) grow and develop, there are factors that pose risks to their well-being, and others that act in an insulating way against those risks. These "protective factors" can reduce or minimize the negative impacts associated with risks, and even reduce the likelihood of some risks like child abuse from ever happening.
